Medical coding (DRG, Tarpsy and ST Reha) is a critical element of the financial and strategic sustainability of a hospital. That is why we are investing in training the next generation of motivated coders.

 

What we are looking for

You are someone who wants to launch their career in healthcare management to support hospitals in delivering the best care for patients. We are looking for motivated recruits with an interest in healthcare and administration.

 

From a training and technical point of view you are:

• Logical, analytical and able to quickly identify the critical elements of a medical letter or text and summarise the main points.

• Someone with a basic understanding of medicine and clinical processes, ideally some experience working in a hospital or doctor’s office

• Comfortable with IT and able to work across multiple systems

• Basic medical coding training completed (optional)

 

Soft skills

• Attention to detail and ability to synthesise information

• Ability to communicate comfortably and effectively with medical staff including physicians and nurses as well as with representatives from insurance companies

• Precision and a desire to follow and apply the rules of coding

• Curiosity and a detective-like urge to identify and understand how elements are linked and interact

• Flexibility to understand the administrative and medical constraints of the work and the environment

 

What we offer

We are providing the opportunity to develop your existing work experience and train for a career in medical coding. Medical coding is the process of translating medical case documentation into the billable and analysable codes. This technical role is essential to the functioning of hospitals financially and strategically. We offer:

What we are looking for

You are an experienced Coder with DRG and/or TarPsy experience who wants to be part of a dynamic team reshaping hospital administration. Our experienced coders accompany and train young coders and help ensure optimal workplace environments for administrative staff.

Technical requirements:

• Proven experience in the coding field and can code most cases independently

• Comfortable with IT and able to work across multiple systems

• Experience in revision, and insurance returns is a plus

 

Soft skills:

• Experience training and a desire to mentor young coders

• Diplomatic communicator with hospital staff, fellow coders and insurance companies
